        DIE ANARCHISTISCHE ABENDUNTERHALTUNG:
 Donkey's Choice on DAAU:

          | 1995 DIE ANARCHISTISCHE ABENDUNTERHALTUNG!
(CD, Jack & Johnny Recordings 7654321)
 - Still regarded as DAAU's defining moment in Belgian Music History.
A direct hit to all musical senses by 4 young , incredibly talented
non-conformists in tempore non suspectu. A true landmark with each
note embellying Punk-ish Gusto combined with Non-stop Vulnarability,
up to a point where both Han and Buni seemed all but to happy to share
their 'Drieslagstelsel' with the fans... Not easy to track down these
            days!-

          | 1997'The Girl With The Golden Teeth' by Soul Sucker
 (CD, SUE!Records 003)
-This is kind of a curiosity. Soul Sucker was a pop-oriented Antwerp
band, centered 'round the talents of Thomas De Prins. Kinda Loungy...Kinda
Nutty...Kinda Terrific!! On their 1997 album 'LIGHT' (SUE!003),
there is a track featuring Buni Lenski as part of the widely arranged
'Burt Bacharach/Billy May'-ish violin-section. So, if you like your
Buni Shaken, Not stirred, check out this little gem!

Thomas, of course, went on to be the XXX-rated Multi-Instrumentalist
as he is best known today. One might check out his work with Les
Messieurs, Cartel Deluxe, El Tattoo Del Tigre or the Internationals,
with whom he would be re-teaming with Buni in a more Donkey-way
              for the 'Johnny Cash'-Tributes...-

          | 1998 WE NEED NEW ANIMALS
 (CD, Sony Classical SK 60674)
 - DAAU's 2nd album broadening the musical scope in a drastic way,
although the acoustic feel still tends to prevail. Contains the Powerful
Chaotics of 'Nix', the Cinematic Sincerity of 'Hot Shades' and the
            Slewfoot Euro-Cumbia of 'Oliphant'...-

 'Gin & Tonic'
 (Maxi-SL, Sony Classical SK 666606 6)
-Possibly the only DAAU-recording on vinyl so far! It contains 3 remixes
of Gin & Tonic, namely by Dr. Olive, Buscemi & Cinérex...
The latter version having a beautiful 'Sassy Safari'-vibe! -

          | 2001:LIFE TRANSMISSION:
 (CD, Columbia COL 498813 9)
-DAAU's take no prisoners-assault on electronics. There's dub, reggae,
The Ghost of Technotronic and lots of collaborations. Ivory Keys
              touched by Adrian Lenski.-

          | 2002 RICHARD OF YORK GAVE BATTLE IN VAIN
(CD, Radical Duke Entertainment PIAS 473 0001 070)
-Although Richard Of York apparently Gave Battle in Vienna, this is
DAAU takin' on the colours of the rainbow. Should be owned, if only
for the magnificent 'Orange', a Donkey favourite.-

          | 2004TUB GURNARD GOODNESS
(CD, Radical Duke Entertainment PIAS 473 0003 020)
 - Although regarded as a back to basics approach, in fact this just
might prove to be DAAU in a more focused, compositorial mood. Straight
no chaser! Still true to their initial looks & disbeliefs, one
distinguishes a wide variety of moods and settings, both pleasing
and teasing at the same time. Contains the strangely appealing Catfish
              blues...-
